Using HealthTracker

This is the main screen on Healthtracker. When starting HealthTracker defaults to the current day and shows a gauge that indicates how many calories you have eaten today and how many you have remaining. The left and right buttons are used to navigate through the the nutrient totals you have per day. The values/totals shown there are based off the US RDA recommended values based on your age and gender.
In addition to calories you will see:
- Total fat (g)
- Sat fat(g)
- Trans Fat (g)
- Cholesterol (mg)
- Sodium (mg)
- Sugar (g)
- Carbs (g)
- Fiber (g)
- Protein (g)
The database contains over 7000 food items and comes from the USDA provided database. You can find more information about the database at the USDA site

Adding a Meal Item
To add a new meal item, just tap on the guage with your thumb. You will then see a screen giving you an options of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks. Select the meal you want to add food.
The next screen is a scrolling list of all of the food categories avaiable for you to search in. The list starts with Favorites and All foods. There are a total of 27 categories. Double tap the categories that you want to search.
The next screen is the search screen. Type in the name of the food you are looking for and press go. First first ten items that match the search terms will be displayed. Press 'Next 10' to retrieve the next 10 and so on until all of the food items are retrieved. Scroll up and down the list until you find the item you are looking for and then double tap the item.
Set the counter to the number of items you are having and then press enter. This will save the food to your daily intake list.
Adding a New Meal Item
You can choose to add a brand new food item on either the food categories page or the search page. To do so just press 'Add'.
This will bring up the Add New food page. Enter in the name and the nutritional information that a single serving of the item has. And then press Add.
You are then given a choice to also add it to you daily intake. Press yes if you want to add it to today's meal or not just to add it to the database.
Reviewing/Updating the day
Press 'Total' to review the days meals, update, delete items, or move items to different meals. When you first press total you will see the scrolling list of the day's food as well as the tracker bar of your calories for the day. To edit the meal item, tap it twice with your thumb.
This will present the following screen where you can delete the item, update the quantity or move it to another meal.
Config
Press the config button to update Goals, your weight (under profile) and your LiveID information.
